For me, letting images like this pass is not good for the movement. In sum, it is promoting the preservation of a community’s labor and livelihood while explicitly supporting the phasing out of another community’s.
I have friends and family who work as artists, designers, and writers that have their jobs threatened because of the corporations using AI art while exploiting artists. How artists are exploited labor is another hot topic but I’ll save it for now. While it is true that this is a white colar job, is it not cognitive dissonance if images like these are used as materials in movements? I dont have enough information and what I said was reactionary because it might all be a joke but yeah I think it leads to a bad precedent.
Additionally i think since drivers and artists are under threat of losing their jobs, why not unite and work together? It bothers me that it seems as though it being ai art doesnt bother people.
